Tucson will take it into green chile overdrive this Tuesday when Blake's Lotaburger opens its second location, at 1600 W. Valencia Road.
The New Mexico chain is staking its claim on the south side by opening up in a spacious shopping center with a Walmart Supercenter, just west of the I-19 freeway. It will open its doors at 10 a.m. June 7. Expect a line.
This is the second Blake's to open in Tucson in the last three months. In case you're wondering why this is a big deal, check this out: Blake's was recently named the best green chile cheeseburger in New Mexico by readers of USA Today. This is what the article has to say:
