And you thought the American regional taco styles were limited to Southwestern crunchy beef, Carolina pulled pork and whatever passes for tacos over in New York City. Well here's another one for your list! Italian beef tacos, done Chicago style with sweet hot peppers and pickled giardiniera mix.

Only in Tucson, at the OG deep dish pizza spot Rocco's Little Chicago Pizzeria. During happy hour 5-9 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, they serve up a plate of Rocco's Tacos with curly strips of slow-cooked roast beef on grill-marked flour tortillas. There was no salsa provided, so I dipped my taco in the blue cheese left over from the Nug Muncher fried combo basket with the chicken dinosaurs and the cheese ravioli. Yum!

Weird fact: Rocco's owner Anthony Rocco DiGrazia is a seasoned musician who once played in the Tucson grunge band Beyond 7. Check out the commercial jingles he wrote on Rocco's website, including the gem "Inagoddadapizza."
