• The Scottish Stein Tavern opened in mid-April as a sister bar to the now closed Wooden Bucket. Owner Sal Collura opened Scottish Stein, 8060 E. 22nd St., to honor the memory of his mother, Janette Collura, who died in 2011. His mother owned The Wooden Bucket, 7149 E. 22nd St., which closed the same year she died.

Collura said the bar is meant to re-create the dive-bar ambience of the Bucket.
