Tucson Premium Outlets in Marana is adding two eateries to its fairly sparse dining options.
An outpost of the national Chinese food chain Famous Wok is set to open later this month, followed in late July by all-Americana burger and shakes joint Johnny Rockets. Both will take up residence in Market Hall, the mall's enclosed food court.
Johnny Rockets is making a return to the Tucson market after closing its University of Arizona area restaurant several years ago to make way for a CVS store in Main Gate Square, on the corner of East University Boulevard and North Euclid Avenue.
This will be Famous Wok's entry into the Tucson market. The company operates Chinese restaurants at malls nationwide, including the outlets in Chandler and Anthem in the Phoenix area.
Tucson Premium Outlets at 6401 Marana Center Blvd., off Interstate 10 and West Twin Peaks Road, opened last Oct. 1. The mall has more than 70 outlet stores open and room for another 10 or so businesses.
Famous Wok and Johnny Rockets join Starbucks, Charleys Philly Steaks, Wetzel's Pretzels, DQ Orange Julius and Sbarro Pizza as the mall's dining options.
