Three-time Iron Chef Tucson winner Ryan Clark has sold his interest in Mercado San Agustín's flagship restaurant Agustín Kitchen. His last dinner will be Tuesday evening, during the restaurant's Dinner with Chefs event featuring Agustín's Chef De Cuisine Brandon Dillon.
Clark said plans are still being finalized as to whom will take over management and chef duties for the restaurant. He sold his share to his two partners Adam Weinstein and Jerry Dixon of The Gadsden Company, owners of the Mercado San Agustín at 100 S. Avenida del Convento.
"We’re happy with what we did at Agustín promoting the community and bringing everyone together and sending our message out," he said. "Unfortunately we weren’t able to continue that."
Clark said he was "devastated" about leaving the restaurant. He says he has already had several inquiries, but that he is open to opportunities.
"We’re gonna make something happen over the next few months. I just don’t know what it’s going to be yet," he said. Interested parties can email him at ryan@chefryanclark.com.
"I’d love to stay in Tucson. I love the community," he said.
