Fourth of July in Tucson and Southern Arizona

All events are on July 4 unless otherwise noted and are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or fire danger.

TUCSON

“A” Mountain Fireworks Celebration, sponsored by Desert Diamond Casinos and entertainment, will start at 9:15 p.m. The best viewing spot for the fireworks downtown is at the TCC’s parking lot B (just off Cushing Street between Granada and Church avenues) or TCC parking lot C (between Broadway and Cushing off Granada). Parking is free. Lot B will have food and entertainment. 791-4101.

Diamonds in the Sky Fourth of July event will be at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way. Gates open at 5 p.m.; Tucson Saguaros vs. Monterey Amberjacks starts at 6 p.m. Food and beverage specials including $1 hot dogs; jumping castles and face painting. El Mercado San Agustín Public Market, 100 S. Avenida Del Convento. Loveland performs 6:30-10 p.m., watch the fireworks from “A” Mountain starting at 9:15 p.m.; food trucks, all restaurants open. 461-1107.

Old Tucson, 201 S. Kinney Road. Adults and children can play games for prizes, patriotic flag ceremony and a parade, pie-eating contest, chuck wagon food, regular shows and attractions. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $18.95 adults; under 11 free. 883-0100.

Marana Star Spangled Spectacular at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Road. Live music, food trucks, inflatables and beer gardens. Fireworks at 9 p.m. 5-9 p.m. 382-1946.

Oro Valley July 4th Celebration: Naranja Park, 801 W. Naranja Drive. Plenty of entertainment for everyone including games, giveaways, face painting, jumping castles, crafts, food trucks and music by the Bryan Dean Trio and Little House of Funk. Fireworks at 9 p.m. No pets. 5-9:30 p.m. 229-5050.

Mount Lemmon on the Fourth of July will not have fireworks, but will have a parade at noon. Food businesses will be open, and there will be live music and food trucks. Arrive early, since the main road is blocked from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. 400-4141.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA

Benson: Fourth of July will have vendors and children’s activities throughout the day at Lions Park, 435 N. Adams St., including a dance from 9-10 p.m., a parade starting from Benson High School (Seventh and Patgonia streets) at 9 a.m. Fireworks at 8:30 p.m. 9 a.m.-10 p.m. 1-520-720-6044.

Bisbee: Fourth of July kicks off early with coaster races at 8 a.m., the parade rolls at 11 a.m., historic drilling and mining contests at 1 p.m., gather at Vista Park for childrens and adult activities at 3 p.m. Fireworks at dusk in the Warren area. 1-520-432-3554.

Patagonia: The parade starts at 11 a.m. going down Arizona 82, followed by food booths downtown. Fireworks will begin at dusk. 1-520-394-2229.

Sahuarita: Red, White and Boom. Sahuarita Lake Park, 15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. A full day of events including food vendors, bands, inflatables, rock-wall climbing and face painters. 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m. 1-520-445-7853.

Sierra Vista: 50th Fourth of July Celebration. All events at Veterans Memorial Park, 3105 E. Fry Blvd. 7-8:30 a.m., pets and people promenade; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Fort Huachuca Military Display, arts and crafts, Salute to the Union ceremony and a chili cookoff. 8:05-9 p.m., fireworks will be set off from Domingo Paiz Sports Complex. 1-520-417-6960.

Tubac: Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, One Burruel St. An assortment of free games for the kids including hula hoops, water balloons, bean-bag toss, coin guess and others.
