Musical Memories

Club Congress sign.

Less than a year after jumping into Tucsonโ€™s hip-hop scene, Lando Chill is releasing his debut album.

And heโ€™s invited some of his fellow Tucson artists to join the fun on Friday, March 4. The lineup for his show includes Matt Haze, Combine Vibes, Fox Bodies, Copper & Congress, DJ Parker A, and Altrice.

The music starts at 8 p.m. at Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St., and itโ€™s a 21-and-older show. Admission is free.

Also at Club Congress:

  • This is quite possibly the craziest show on a Tucson stage this week: a mariachi group that specializes in classic heavy metal covers. Thatโ€™s whatโ€™s on tap when Hollywood band Metalachi takes the stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 5, with Tucsonโ€™s own Sugar Stains opening. $10 cover and this is a 21-and-older show.
  • Tucson comedians Jacob Breckenridge and Pauly Casillas will host the Switch Comedy Show at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. Local comedians will hone their improv skills, acting on audience suggestions. The show is for 21-and-older; admission is free.
