The Arizona State Fair kicks off next weekend for its three-week run at the state fairgrounds in Phoenix, with stomach-churning rides and games of chance. Three weeks to graze through endless menus of fried everything. Three weeks to catch some of the hottest concerts coming this fall and do it almost for free.
General admission to the fair concerts is free with paid fair admission, which you can get at a discount for $6 for adults, $3 for children and seniors, online at azstatefair.com/tickets through Oct. 15; it’s $10 adults, $5 for seniors and children 5 to 13 at the gate.
If you want a select your seat for a show, it’ll cost you a few bucks more, from $15 to $30, depending on the show.
Concerts are held in Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road in Phoenix, off Interstate 10 near 19th Avenue. Shows start at 7 p.m. unless noted. And what a lineup for the 2015 fair!
