Tucson gets the rare pleasure this week of hosting two leading ladies of comedy: Kathy Griffin at the Tucson Music Hall tonight and Kathleen Madigan at the Rialto Theatre on Friday.

The comics are worlds apart in their message and methods. Griffin is an in-your-face disher, serving up gossipy tidbits on Hollywood celebs. Madigan sticks to sports, politics, her family and religion in no particular order.

In recent interviews, though, both had something to say about Arizona's recent turn in the national spotlight, the Obama-Brewer airport showdown when Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer wagged her finger at the president and he walked off when she was in midsentence.

Here's the comedians' take on the situation:

Griffin: "You guys have turned into Florida. You guys have got to tone down the crazy down there."

Madigan: "I don't think you should ever point your finger at the president of the United States. Even presidents I didn't like I would be scared to do that. I would assume that Secret Service may - may - consider shooting me. It was pretty ballsy on Jan's part."

Read on to see what else is on their minds.
