Grand illusions of comic proportions â now you see it, or did you really ever?
Welcome to the 21st annual Stars of Magic, Tucson's ultimate showcase of magical moxie, where the best and brightest, and those who aspire to be, take the stage for the sole purpose of entertaining us.
And tricking us, with their sleight of hand and disappearing acts.
Saturday's shows, produced by the local chapter of the Society of American Magicians, are at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave.
The performers include Michael DeSchalit (below), John Shryock & Mari Lynn, Hiro, Tim Mansfield, Gene and Charlene Collins, Norm Marini, The Spells, Jayson Schultz, Rafael DeLara, Art Trillo and Len Elder.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for ages 12 and under at Williams Magic and Novelties, 6528 E. 22nd St., 790-4060; or at www.williamsmagic.com. These shows tend to sell out.
