The non-profit Rialto Theatre will host its fourth annual gala dubbed “Stage Door Canteen — A Swingin’ 1940s USO Party” on Saturday, Feb. 20.
MC Lynn “Win” Roberts is sitting in for Bob Hope and will introduce the lineup, which includes:
- Vaudeville entertainment from Cirque Roots of Tucson.
- Live music from Tucson’s swinging big band BBX — aka Big Band Express — with guest vocalists Julie Ann Boos and Emilie Marchand.
The night also includes a silent auction, live auctions and raffles.
Food will be offered by Compass High School Culinary Program and several downtown restaurants: Cup Café, Dedicated Bakery, Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails, Elliot’s on Congress, Hub, Johnny Gibson’s Downtown Market, Martin’s Comida Chingona, Maynards Market & Kitchen, Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch, Obon Sushi and Ramen, Pita Jungle, Proper, Reilly Craft Pizza and Drink, Street Taco and Beer Co. and World of Beer.
Also on the menu: Beer tastings from Tucson brewers Barrio Brewing Co., Borderlands Brewing Company, Public Brewhouse, Pueblo Vida Brewing Company and Thunder Canyon Brewery.
