Tucson has whole world in its hands

The Tucson Earth Day Festival will include a parade, performances and environmentally themed booths with hands-on exhibits.

Anyway it's Earth Day this weekend, which means there are tons of fun Earth-Day-related things to do.

Oh, and National Parks are free and the Pima County Fair is back! 

EARTH DAY EVENTS 🌎

Party for the Planet

For every person that bikes to the zoo, they get free admission. That means visiting Nandi and participating in the cool Earth Day activities. Or you can drive there and pay the admission, the activities are free once you get in.

Where: Reid Park Zoo, 3400 E. Zoo Ct.

Cost: Event is included in admission. Adults pay $10.50, seniors (62+) pay $8.50, children 2-14 pay $6.50 and children under 2 are free. 

$1 Sale at Buffalo Exchange

Get all the $1 (cash) you have and get that cute blouse before the next girl. Feel good about the money you spend because it benefits The Humane Society.

Tucson Earth Day Festival 

What's more earth friendly than biking? Bike to Tucson's Earth Day Festival. And learn about other ways to help the planet while you're there.

Celebrate with The Lorax

The new Bookmans is throwing a Lorax-themed party with games, crafts, seed planting, face painting and more. Silly Tassie will also be there to entertain the kids.

Bike-in Movies

You don't drive, you bike there. Bring along some snacks and something to sit on to watch "The Goonies" under the stars.

Watch the movie at the Alvernon Park near Alvernon Way between Third and Fifth streets.

Paint Out in the Park for Kids

Kids get to play and paint outside alongside wildlife artist Brenda Rentfro. Art supplies are provided.

DIY Wedding Centerpiece

You don't have to be getting married to make a succulent centerpiece. It can go on your dining room table.

Attend the grand opening of English Salon Spa

Get to know the new salon downtown with food, drinks and music. English Salon Spa is opening for business on Earth Day. Bring some canned food to benefit the Food Drive.

Spring Formal Garden Party

It's spring time but it feels like summer in Tucson so whip out your favorite sundress and flower crown and head to Espresso Art for drink and hookah specials.

Cost: Event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Bike Day at St. Phillip's Plaza

Join in the morning ride along the Rillito River Path, listen to BICAS's bike maintenance and repair demonstrations, buy from the farmer's market and maybe do some courtyard yoga. 

The one-hour yoga class is $5 at starts at 9 a.m.
