  • Notable: 6-9 forward Β bounced around schools (Kansas, Hutchinson Community College and Florida) before settling at Arizona. Was a team captain in 1995-96 along with Joe McLean, Reggie Geary and Corey Williams. Ranks ninth all-time in single-season total rebounds at Arizona with 313.Β 

Former Wildcat and Phoenix Sun Ben DavisΒ is one of Arizona's NBA-drafted players who appeared on ESPN's list that ranked the colleges with the best NBA players. Arizona was No. 6 on the list.

Arizona’s 1996 All-Pac-10 power forward/centerΒ Ben DavisΒ was back in McKale Center last week, giving a tour of his old school to his son,Β Ben Davis II. The trip included a visit to Cochise College, where the younger Davis is considering playing forΒ Jerry Carrillo’s NJCAA powerhouse basketball program. Ben Davis II, who is 6 feet 8 inches tall and built powerfully like his father, played at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia last year. He is still 17 and wants to play and develop in a year of NJCAA basketball before jumping to the Division I level.Β
