Former Cholla linebackerΒ Mike Scurlock, a seven-year NFL veteran and part ofΒ Dick Tomeyβs Desert Swarm defenses, was featured prominently last week during CNNβs coverage of Americaβs racial tensions. Scurlock, a sheriff in York, North Carolina, was on theΒ Poppy HarlowΒ show and is now a public information officer. "We have to take this opportunity to bring people together rather than focus on division," said Scurlock, who knows the officer who shotΒ Keith Lamont ScottΒ last week in Charlotte, N.C.
