Hall of honor

The Pac-12 inducted 12 players — one from each school — into the conference’s hall of honor Saturday.

Arizona’s inductee was the late coach Fred Snowden, who died away in 1994.

Snowden, nicknamed “The Fox”, was the first African-American head coach at a major university in Division I basketball. He compiled a 167-108 record in his 10-year Arizona career.

Snowden's daughter, Stacy, accepted on behalf of the family. Other honorees included Ron Riley (Arizona State), Sean Lampley (California), Jim Davis (Colorado), Anthony Taylor (Oregon), Jim Jarvis (Oregon State), Casey Jacobsen (Stanford), Dave Meyers (UCLA), Alex Hannum (USC), Danny Vranes (Utah), Jon Brockman (Washington) and Bennie Seltzer (Washington State).
