Frederic Balazs led the Tucson Symphony Orchestra during it’s 25th anniversary concert in 1952. Balazs helped transform TSO from a small community group to a artistically accomplished ensemble.

During 15-year tenure, Balazs transformed the mostly volunteer ensemble into a respected regional orchestra.
Taking the music outside of the Music Hall, programming Latin American works are part of the plan.
