Thousands of school students in the Tucson area joined thousands more around the country during walk outs on and off campuses to commemorate 17 students who died in a school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. Many also protested gun violence and others advocated for gun rights.

Roxanna Green joined in with students from Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, AZ on March 14, 2018 during a 18-minute observance in honor of the 17 victims from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, as well as one additional minute for her daughter, Christina-Taylor Green, who would have been a sophomore at Canyon Del Oro High School. Green died in a mass shooting in Tucson in 2011.
