Take in the vast desert sky at Catalina and Oracle state parks while enjoying stargazing, line dancing, solar viewing and night hiking.

Take in a night of adventure under the vast desert sky as part of Catalina and Oracle state parks’ β€œFor the Love of Stars” events.

The astronomy-centric weekend, slated for Feb. 9-10, will feature stargazing, line dancing, solar viewing and night hiking.

Catalina State Park, 11570 N. Oracle Road, will kick things off with solar viewing on Feb. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m.

After sunset, a park ranger will lead a guided night hike on the Nature Trail from 7 to 8 p.m. Star viewing, which includes free hot cocoa, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. with telescopes provided by the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association.

The next day, on Feb. 10, head to Oracle State Park β€” 3820 Wildlife Drive in Oracle β€” for another night of stargazing and a line dancing class.

The class will be held at 5 p.m. at the park’s Kannally Ranch House. At 6 p.m., you can take in a campfire with a cup of coffee and a cookie. Stargazing starts at 7.

Registration is required for both the night hike at Catalina State Park and the line dancing class at Oracle State Park through
