St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, 715 W. Vanover Road, will host Sviatoslav Shevchuk, the patriarch and major archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1.
Shevchuk is the leader in the international Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, a church with followers around the world that also recognizes the leadership of Pope Francis, according to press materials. Shevchuk will give the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
