Catalina Foothills Church, 2150 E. Orange Grove Road, will host the seminar “Jesus: Just a Story or History?” 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28.
Michael Licona, a New Testament historian at Houston Baptist University, will speak. Childcare is included, according to press materials.

Licona will then debate University of Arizona religious studies and classics professor Courtney Friesen 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29 at Crowder Hall, 1017 N. Olive Road, at the UA.
The debate “Are Christian Claims Verifiable and Does It Matter?” is part of a Veritas Forum series. Admission is free.
