PCIC to hold accountability session for political office candidates

The Pima County Interfaith Council Accountability Session will be held Sunday, Sept. 30, 3 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 Camino Pio Decimo.

The session is a public event where candidates for U.S. Congress and the state Legislature are presented with questions about specific issues important to PCIC’s member organizations: public education, health care, immigration, workforce development, food security and ballot initiatives.

All candidates in the Tucson area are invited to attend. Candidates from Congressional District 2 and Legislative Districts 2 and 10 will be specifically questioned on stage.

PCIC is a nonpartisan organization that represents more than 30 faith congregations and nonprofit organizations.

Couples can enrich, revitalize marriage at weekend event

A Roman Catholic Marriage Encounter weekend will be held Oct. 5-7 for couples wishing to enrich and revitalize their marriage. The event is held at the Best Western Tucson Airport. Information and registration is available at 520-477-2121 or www.wwmearizona.com.

Retreat for religious leaders planned for Oct. 11 at St. Odilia’s

A retreat day for religious/spiritual leaders will take place on Oct. 11, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church, 7570 Paseo Del Norte.

Organizers say the theme of the day asks, β€œWhen is the joy/happiness in your ministry and how is it a well of nourishment for you?”
