At Temple Emanu-El's 7:30 p.m. Shabbat services Friday, Jan. 13, Rabbis Baruch Cohon and Samuel Cohon will announce the 2016 Cohon Memorial Foundation Awards as a way to honor people whose work benefits Jewish communities.
The winners are Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of the International Federation of Christians and Jews, and Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, a co-founder and director of the AMCHA Initiative.
