At least three faith communities are aiming to pack 100,000 meals for hungry people in Tucson and Southern Arizona.
You can help them on Sunday, Jan. 7.
The packathon will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 8051 E. Broadway. Catalina United Methodist Church will partner with the Muslim Community Center of Tucson, 5100 N. Kevy Place, starting around noon to pack meals at the center, according to press materials.
"We're going to pack 50,000 meals, as are they," said St. Paul's director of leadership development Nancy Scott. "So for Tucson, that's 100,000 meals."
