Even they say it is the most irrational "holiday" ever, yet that isn't stopping Blaze Pizza, the California-based fast-casual pizza chain, from celebrating National Pi Day.

Pi, as in the mathematical equation that calculates to 3.141592, or quite simply 3.14, is not really an everyday thing, right? But at Blaze Pizza, it's a BIG thing today, Wednesday, March 14 — 3-14, or 3.14 if you're from Europe or some other country that uses decimal points instead of dashes for numerical dates. Throughout the day at all of its stores including its Tucson location at 5615 E. Broadway, you can get a pizza for $3.14.

That's a smokin' deal, more than half off the regular price.

And here's what we love about fast-casual pizza: It's fast. You get to decide how to dress up your 11-inch pizza, from the crust to the sauce to the toppings, meats, cheese and veggies, as much or little, plain or fancy as you choose, and it takes just three minutes from oven to table.

The $3.14 pizza deal is good for eating-in only and only one per person. Blaze is open until 10 p.m.

Blaze opened its first and only Tucson location almost exactly a year ago.
