The Blenman Elm neighborhood features 17 styles of homes that were popular between the 1920s and the 1950s, and is said to be the "vanguard" of the ranch-style home in Tucson. Included in the neighborhood are 21 homes built by Swiss-born Tucson architect Josias Joesler.
The living room of the Spanish Colonial home of Bob & Carol Andrews in the Blenman Elm neighborhood. When they bought the house the living room was painted pink. To emphasize the ceiling they chose to highlight the coved walls with a painted decoration along the top of the cove.
