Name/Breed: Peggy / Pit Mix Age: 2.5 years old Gender: Female Qualities: Peggy is a very happy, fun girl who is good as gold and she also is a devoted, affectionate companion. She was in very poor shape when she came to us, very emaciated, and her body showed the signs of a dog who had been overbred, used and abused. Whatever happened to Peggy in the past she holds no grudges. She just adores her people and gives so much love in return. She likes to play and at first shows a lot of enthusiasm to see you and will give tons of kisses just to show how happy she is. She calms pretty quickly and truly wants to please so does her best to listen to you when you tell her to do something. She loves walks and car-rides. Since she was frequently mated, she is a little cautious of dogs she doesn't know at first, but once she has determined they are a friend shes a goofball and would enjoy the companionship of another canine. Her first love will be you. She would likes nothing more than to just be in your presence, she likes to cuddle or lay contently at your feet. Peggy also can be trusted to be left alone. She does not need a crate, she just just lays calmly and nicely in her bed and sleeps waiting for your return. She is not a loud barking dog, so she would do fine in noise sensitive neighborhoods or associations. She will however alert her family if something is not right. She does have a little storm anxiety but she settles pretty well. She has no resource guarding issues at all and is happy to share her food, toys and treats.
