McKale Center will welcome its nine millionth fan Thursday against USC, sometime well before the place fills up again.
Built in 1973, McKale attracted 8,792,826 fans entering the season and has so far this season hosted another 201,272 in what is now a 14,644-seat arena. That puts the total to 8,994,098, or just 5,902 short of the nine million mark.
Sellouts against both USC and UCLA are expected this weekend.Β
