Cool, I thought when I saw this blurb in Food Network magazine. Tucson got some national ink!
But as I read it, I could practically hear the reporter in my ear shouting, "Are you kidding me?"
"Tucson, AZ, might not come to mind when you think of the world's culinary hot spots..." it begins.
But it's true. We — not New York City, not San Francisco, not Chicago - are the first U.S. city to be named to UNESCO's Creative Cities Network for gastronomy.
