Carondelet names Biggs as chief nursing officer
Carondelet St. Mary’s has promoted Jennifer Biggs to chief nursing officer.
Biggs, an R.N. who joined the St. Mary’s staff 17 years ago, will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the hospital’s nursing department and its daily operations.
Most recently, as senior director of nursing, Biggs was instrumental in establishing the Bridges Geropsychiatric Program, Carondelet said in a news release.
She was selected as the Tucson Nurses Week Foundation’s Most Inspirational Mentor for 2014 based on ethical integrity and vision, Carondelet said. She has served on that foundation’s board since 2010 and as its secretary since 2011.
