Tucson native Born is new ranger in forest's Santa Catalina DistrictΒ 

Coronado National Forest announced Friday thatΒ Ken BornΒ is the new Santa Catalina District ranger.

Born, a Tucson native, comes to Coronado from Tonto National Forest, where he was forest planner. He received his bachelor of science degree in environmental planning from Northern Arizona University, and a master’s degree in public policy from Stony Brook University in New York.

After more than a decade as a planner with Monterey County, California; Long Island, N.Y.; and Multnomah County, Oregon, Born joined federal service in 2010.
