Health Sciences Center hires fundraiser FloresΒ 

After a national search,Β Jennifer FloresΒ was appointed associate vice president and chief health sciences development officer for the Arizona Health Sciences Center at the University of Arizona.

Flores, who joined the UA on Jan. 5, will provide senior strategic leadership and operations performance management of AHSC development activities.

She brings to the UA more than 15 years of principal and major gift fundraising experience at public research universities in the western United States. She served as senior director of principal gifts at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, where she was part of the fundraising team for the Phil and Penny Knight Cancer Challenge $1 Billion Campaign, which in 11 months raised more than $400 million.

Flores also has served as a development professional at the University of Oregon, Colorado State University, the University of Montana Foundation and Northern Arizona University. Her experience includes fundraising for a variety of academic and allied health disciplines. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in journalism.
