Sherman named to top post at Sun Corridor Network

The Sun Corridor Network named Michael C. Sherman as executive director. Among other roles, he will work with public and private sector stakeholders to expand gigabit speed connectivity to K-12 public schools, community colleges, libraries and museums in Arizona.

The research and education network is a collaborative effort sponsored by Arizona State University, the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University.

Sherman most recently was executive manager of the Arizona Department of Administration’s broadband planning and public safety communications department. He spent 27 years at the Salt River Project, including time as director of SRP telecom; and was an account supervisor at McCann-Erickson.

He holds a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Oregon and a master’s of business administration from Arizona State University.
