Snyder takes on new Banner-University job

Banner-University Medical Center in Tucson has named Kara Snyder as director of nursing for pediatrics.

A registered nurse for nearly 20 years, she has been at the hospital for 11 years as a clinical nurse specialist for trauma/critical care and as director of quality, infection prevention, survey readiness and data analytics for both Banner-UMC and its sister hospital, Banner-University Medical Center South. Most recently she was interim director of women’s and children’s services.

Snyder earned her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Arizona, her master’s in trauma, critical care and emergency nursing from the University of Maryland, and is studying for her Ph.D. in nursing and health-care systems at the University of Colorado Denver.
