SinfoníaRx announced the following appointment: Sandra Leal, PharmD, vice president for innovation. She will oversee the development, implementation and sustainability of new medication therapy management models of care.

Leal previously was medical director of clinical pharmacy/Broadway clinic at El Rio Health Center. She developed the award-winning, nationally recognized pharmacy-based diabetes program at El Rio.

She graduated from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy and obtained her master of public health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her numerous awards include being recognized as Pharmacist of the Year in Arizona.
