Drs. Hypes, Smith are new at UA Emergency Medicine department
The University of Arizona Department of Emergency Medicine welcomes two new faculty members.
Dr. Cameron Hypes, assistant professor of emergency medicine, sees patients in the emergency department and also spends time in the ICU as an attending physician.
His research interests include airway management, including the use of mechanical ventilation devices, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest outcomes and treatment for shock. Hypes received his medical degree and master’s degree in public health from Ohio State University in Columbus. He recently completed a critical-care fellowship at the UA.
Hypes will practice at Banner–University Medical Center Tucson and South.
