Pharmacy College hires drug expert Lo-Ciganic
Wei-Hsuan Jenny Lo-Ciganicย joined the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science Jan. 5.
She is a pharmcoepidemiologist and biostatistician with interests in adherence to essential chronic medications, drug safety, cancer prevention, quality and value of prescribing, and diffusion of new drugs for chronic disease management.
At the UA, Lo-Ciganic will pursue her research, teach biostatistics-related courses and work to establish pharmacoepidemiology courses.
Lo-Ciganic completed her Ph.D. in epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. She served as a postdoctoral associate for the Center for Pharmaceutical Policy and Prescribing at the University of Pittsburgh Health Policy Institute.
