Arizona Broadcasters Hall to enshrine Buckmaster
Bill Buckmaster will be inducted into the Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame at a luncheon Oct. 15 in Scottsdale.
Buckmaster is a five-time Emmy Award nominee whose career in communications included anchor positions at KICU-TV in San Jose-San Francisco; and at KUAT-TV in Tucson, where he hosted the public affairs program “Arizona Illustrated” for 23 years.
A former broadcast editor for The Associated Press, Buckmaster has also served as news director at several radio stations. In 2010 he formed Bill Buckmaster Communications LLC, which produces “Buckmaster,” a daily news talk program on Tucson’s KVOI AM-1030. He has received numerous awards.
