Carondelet St. Joseph’s gets
new chief executive in Benz
Tenet Healthcare Corp., managing partner of Carondelet Health Network in Tucson, has named Mark Benz as chief executive officer of Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He succeeds Anthony Fonze in the position.
Benz joins Carondelet from Tenet’s Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina, where he was CEO.
He previously served as regional vice president at CRC Health in Philadelphia; division project CEO at Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tenn.; and president and CEO of Community Health System’s Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, Pa. and Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill.
He has a bachelor’s and a master’s in social work administration from Arizona State University.
