Henkel named to post at Gregory School

The Gregory School has named Merlin A. Henkel director of finance and operations.

Henkel comes to The Gregory School from Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia, where he served as interim head of school, director of development and chief financial officer/director of business.

Prior to that, Henkel spent more than 25 years in commercial banking, serving as president and CEO of two community-based banks in Virginia. He was active in nonprofit leadership roles in Virginia. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
