A man walked into a Chase Bank on Tucson's northwest side Saturday and approached a teller demanding money, and left with an undisclosed amount, authorities said.
Shortly before 11 a.m., Pima County Sheriff's deputies responded to the bank at 6000 N. Oracle Road to a report of a robbery, said Deputy Tracy Suitt, a sheriff's spokesman.
When deputies arrived, they learned a man approached a teller and gave her a note indicating that he wanted large bills. The note indicated that the bills were to be placed in an envelope, and if that was not done people would be hurt, Suitt said.
The teller placed the money in the envelope, and the man left the bank on foot, Suitt said.
He was described as Hispanic, and in his late 20s to early 30s. He was about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. The man was last seen wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt, jeans and an Arizona Cardinals cap.
He had "Angel" tattooed to the back of his neck, Suitt said.
