A woman died after a fight with someone she knew on Tucson’s east side, police say.

The unidentified woman was unresponsive when officers found her outside a house about 7: 15 p.m. Friday in the 7600 block of East Apple Tree Drive, Sgt. Kimberley Bay said in a news release.

Police had gone to the home near East Irvington and South Pantano roads after reports of a fight.

Officers performed CPR on the woman but she was pronounced dead later at a hospital.

Bay said the woman’s identity would be made public after her family has been notified.

Detectives believe that the parties involved in the fight knew each other and said that it doesn't appear any weapons were used. No one is outstanding at this time, according to the release.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
