More than $581,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine were found hidden in an SUV at the Nogales port of entry Monday.

A drug dog sniffed out the 47 pounds of hard drugs that were hidden in a Nissan SUV driven by Ivan Lopez-Menchaca, 35, of Obregon, Sonora, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Officers removed more than 36 pounds of heroin, worth in excess of $511,000, from the dashboard, and more than 5 pounds each of coke and meth, which had a combined value of more than $70,000.

Officers seized the vehicle and drugs, and referred Lopez to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
