AΒ Tohono O'odham man was sentenced Monday to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in his girlfriend's choking death.
U.S. District Court Judge Raner Collins sentenced Michael Henry Flores in the August 2011 killing of his girlfriend, the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a news release.
Flores, 30,Β killed his girlfriend outside his home near Sells following an argument. The victim was not identified.
