Nearly 100 cats were seized from a non-profit cat rescue near Three Points Wednesday after a search of the property revealed alleged signs of animal neglect, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department announced.

Many of the cats impounded from the case are displaying symptoms of varying illness, said the Pima Animal Care Center, where the animals were taken.

The property located near the 14000 block of West Raindance Road in the Three Points area was searched as as part of an animal-neglect probe. The PCSD said the property is home to a non-profit cat rescue. Officials seized 91 cats, one turtle and one lizard.

Three Points is about 30 miles southwest of Tucson.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
