The Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking for the suspect they say committed the theft on Dec. 30 last year.

Sheriff's detectives are searching for a suspect in a theft of an Express Stop in December last year.

Deputies responded to the store on 3535 East Irvington Road just after 6:00 a.m. on Dec. 30, a department news release said.

They learned the suspect requested cigarettes to purchase but when the clerk was ringing up the items, the suspect jumped over the counter and took several cigarette cartons and money before he fled on foot.

The department described the suspect as a 5-foot-7 inch Caucasian male in his 40s with "salt and pepper" hair, the release said.

Detectives are requesting help from the public. Anyone with information should call 9-1-1 or submit an anonymous tip to 88-CRIME for a possible award.
