The White House said President Donald Trump called and spoke with Savannah Guthrie on Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.

“I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely.”

Guthrie is the host of NBC's "Today" show whose 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing from her Tucson home overnight Saturday. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said investigators believe she was abducted.

The FBI has said it is assisting the Pima County Sheriff's Department in the investigation, providing analytical and technical support and conducting interviews.

Investigators have not identified any persons of interest or suspects, Nanos said Wednesday afternoon.

In a video posted Wednesday on Instagram, Savannah Guthrie pleaded with her mother's abductor to return her to her home and reunite her with her family. She said the family is ready to talk but needs proof their mother is still alive.
