A man was killed Wednesday night in a house fire on Tucson’s south side, officials say.

The fire started about 8:30 p.m. at a house in the 100 block of West Finedale Street, near West Bilby Road and South Sixth Avenue, Tucson Fire said in a news release.

Tucson firefighters found the man inside the burning home and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was the only person in the house.
