Tucson City Hall

Tucson voters said no to a pay raise for their Mayor and Council tonight.

An overwhelming majority of the voters - 72 percent - voted against Prop 406 - which would have given the Tucson City Council at 65 percent pay raise.

Currently, the Mayor receives roughly $42,000 a year while council member salaries are about $24,000 a year.
