A fire destroyed a mobile home on Wednesday and displaced two residents, fire officials said.
Tucson Fire crews were called to the 1500 block of East Mossman Road, near South Campbell Avenue and East Bilby Road, at about 1:30 p.m. and found the mobile home about 50 percent involved, said Capt. Barrett Baker, a Tucson Fire spokesman.
Callers said someone might have been trapped inside the home.
Firefighters initially went into the home but could only make it a few feet inside because of the fire. Once the fire was knocked down, crews searched but did not find anyone inside.
Crews had the fire under control in about 15 minutes. No injuries to firefighters were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the two people who lived in the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimate was available.
