Close to three-fourths of an inch of rain was recorded at the Tucson Airport as of early Thursday morning.
There was even heavier rain on top of Mount Lemmon, around 4-5 inches, which resulted in a rise on Sabino Creek near Marshall Gulch, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance of showers continues through Friday afternoon, especially southeast of Tucson.
The weather service also said an addition 0.25 to 0.50 inches are possible with this next batch of rain coming Thursday and Friday.
